2013 Scion FR-S Makes Heart-pumping, Adrenaline Racing Debut

(TORONTO) ??? Scion put the sport back into the car today at the Canadian International Auto Show, as the new 2013 FR-S made its debut in Canada.

Toyota and Lexus Take Top Honours in Seven Categories

(TORONTO) ??? Canadian Black Book (CBB) has released its seventh annual Retained Value Awards, and Toyota and Lexus models have taken the top spot in seven categories, confirming the trusted quality, reliability and exceptionally high retained value of these vehicles.

Drive a Top Safety Pick

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has announced its Top Safety Pick awards for 2012 and Toyota leads the industry with 15 awards for Toyota, Lexus and Scion vehicles.  
 
"Canadian drivers count on third-party research to make wise choices when shopping for a vehicle," said Sandy Di Felice, Director, External Affairs, Toyota Canada Inc. "Toyota has always taken safety seriously, which is why we're delighted that the IIHS has awarded its Top Safety Pick award to 15 models across the Toyota, Lexus and Scion brands. "
 
All Toyota models are built to feature carefully-designed body structures that channel accident forces away from occupants, as well as full suites of airbags and other passive safety systems, and the six active safety technologies in the Star Safety System ??? all as standard equipment ??? because for Toyota, safety is not optional.

Prius v Expands Iconic Hybrid 'Family' of Vehicles

Toyota Canada takes first place overall at Rallye International Vert de Montréal green rally

Raymond Durand, driving a Prius, places 4th overall and Stéphane Quesnel places 2nd in consumption

(MONTREAL) ???Toyota Canada has won the Rallye Vert de Montréal, a world championship of "green" rallies, as part of the FIA Alternative Energies Cup, and has placed first in consumption, for the second year in a row.

TMC Shows New Nursing and Healthcare Robots in Tokyo

 
Tokyo, Japan, November 1, 2011???Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) held an event today here at its vehicle display space and theme park Mega Web to display a number of new robots developed to provide support in nursing and healthcare. The robots form part of the Toyota Partner Robot series, which is being developed to assist humans in their everyday activities.
 
TMC considers Partner Robots to be useful in four fields: nursing and healthcare, short-distance personal transport, manufacturing and domestic duties. TMC is developing technology that cooperates with humans, including devices that assist in the loading and moving of heavy components in factories, in addition to automated technology that enables autonomous tool operation.

Toyota fuels return of Winnipeg Jets to NHL

Major sponsorship package with hockey team includes Toyota logo on the ice, rink boards and behind the visitors' bench
 
(WINNIPEG) ??? Toyota Canada will be part of hockey history Sunday by sponsoring the Winnipeg Jets' opening night game against the Montreal Canadiens.
 
In addition, as part of a comprehensive sponsorship agreement with the Jets, Toyota Canada will also have a major presence throughout the team's season.

Toyota Named Number One Automotive Brand in World

The last two years have been very tough on Toyota. After dealing with safety issues last year, its production took a hit this year due to the earthquake and tsunami in Japan earlier this year.

Through thick and thin, Toyota has soldiered on and has managed to retain the title of the world's number-one automotive brand, according to Interbrand. This global brand value evaluation makes Toyota the most top-rated car brand, and 11th overall in Interbrands annual study.
